Dr. Roy Sasson established and manages Waze’s Data Guild, an organization of 40 Data Scientists, Product Analysts and Data Engineers. His team is responsible for the machine learning behind Waze’s most popular features, including routing and ETA predictions, Ads Serving and Carpool Matching.

Roy has 15 years of experience in machine learning, building teams and data-driven cultures across global technology companies, including Outbrain, one of the largest content recommendation platforms in the world. He has a PhD in Econometrics from Tel Aviv University, where he still holds a teaching affiliation in various executive MBA and Engineering programs.
